Paradox Prayer Group (one time or weekly)

Paradox on Wednesday nights is a time where students step into the presence of God and spend time worshipping Him, so naturally there is going to be some Spiritual Warfare going on, especially as the group continues to grow.  We want to prepare our minds and cover the students and youth sponsors with protective prayer.  Therefore, every Wednesday, during the Paradox Praise Team Practice, we are going to have a group of students and adults gather together to pray for the night.  This is a place for Jr. High or High school students or any adult who wants to cover the students of Racine with prayer.  This could be a one-time commitment or a weekly service.  We ask that you arrive at the church around 5:00 and meet in the Jr. High Sunday School room to pray for the evening.  If you are interested please contact Chase Marcus at cmarcus@racinechristian.org or Tyler Mitchell at tyler@racinechristian.org and tell them you are interested in being a part of the prayer meeting.

Provide food for Wednesday night sponsors and student leaders (one time)

There are a lot of people serving in multiple ways on Wednesday nights at Paradox.  Many of these servants are at the Church preparing and setting up all afternoon and do not have an opportunity to get out and get dinner until after Paradox around 9:00 P.M.  It would be such a blessing if we could get volunteers to make or provide dinner for the student leaders and adult sponsors who are serving the students.  We ask that you have food ready in the Church kitchen at least by 6:00pm so there is time for the adults to eat before the youth sponsor meeting at 6:30.  This would be a one time commitment and could be anything from a homemade meal to pizzas or sub sandwiches.  If you are interested please contact Chase Marcus at cmarcus@racinechristian.org or Tyler Mitchell at tyler@racinechristian.org and tell them that you are interested in providing dinner and what Wednesdays you would be available to do so.

Sunday School (as needed)

Every Sunday, junior high and high school students meet together to grow together and learn about Christ through the Word. The youth ministry can always use people to help teach lessons to both age groups on Sunday mornings. Curriculum can be provided or you also have the option to create your own lesson for the lesson of the day. Teaching depends on your availability and how often you can rotate to teach. Contact Chase Marcus at cmarcus@racinechristian.org for more details.

Paradox Worship Team (one time, as needed)

Are you musically inclined? Do you play an instrument or love to sing? Do you love Jr. High and High School age students? Are you comfortable in front of a crowd? Are you a high school or Jr. High student who plays an instrument, loves to sing, and is comfortable in front of a crowd?  Maybe Paradox praise team is the place for you to serve students on Wednesday nights.. We can always use musical people to rotate in the lineup and help lead worship for our students! This could be a one-time commitment, or it could be a spot that you rotate in and out of throughout the semester. If you choose to join our team we ask that, on the weeks you play, you arrive at the church no later than 5:00 P.M. for practice on Wednesday nights.  We practice through all of the songs and begin the actual service at 7:00.  If you are interested contact Tyler Mitchell at tyler@racinechristian.org and tell him that you are interested, what instrument you play, and how often you’re available to play.

Sponsor Meeting Devotional

Every Wednesday we have a meeting for all of the youth sponsors at 6:30 before Paradox begins at 7:00.  During this meeting we like to have someone lead a devotional time for the youth sponsors so that we can make sure they are being poured into while they are preparing to pour into the lives of our students.  This would be a job for an adult who has something God has laid on their heart that they would like to share with the youth sponsors. This would be a one time commitment and we would ask that you arrive at the church at 6:15 to be there before the sponsor meeting begins.  If you are interested contact Chase Marcus at cmarcus@racinechristian.org or Tyler Mitchell at tyler@racinechristian.org and tell them that you are interested in the devotional and what Wednesdays you would be available to lead.

Student Leadership Team

Every Wednesday, the youth has their service in the Sanctuary and we call it Paradox.  What many people don’t realize is that a lot goes into putting a night of Paradox together.  If you are a High School or Jr. High student and you want to serve, we have a great opportunity for you.  The Paradox setup and cleanup team helps get everything ready for Paradox and reset the sanctuary for Sunday services.  We ask that you arrive at 3:45 P.M. to help move chairs and set up curtains and set the stage and anything else that needs to be done. Also, when preparation for the night is complete, students will engage in ways they can help and serve the youth group. This can be a one-time commitment, or it can be a weekly time to serve for you! If you are interested contact Chase Marcus at cmarcus@racinechristian.org or Tyler Mitchell at tyler@racinechristian.org for more details.

Serving Opportunities

The students in the youth ministry are willing to serve and show the love of Christ in practical ways. There are many needs in the church body and in the outside communities that students desire to help. We are asking the church to either provide areas and places that students can serve or to pass along information of those are in need. Service opportunities can be available for students to participate any time and for any numbers of youth. If you have any ideas or know of any service opportunities the youth can help with, please contact Chase Marcus at cmarcus@racinechristian.org. This service opportunities can be available for students to participate any time and for any numbers of youth.
